Though some of us here still know how to set old lead type, today, once your piece has been designed it goes to our prepress department where the file is sent to film or directly to plates for the press. The prepress department still has a large format camera to handle any camera ready copy or line art work. Technology lets us scan your photos or slides here in-house to a maximum size or send out for oversized or high-resolution scans. White proofs, dylux proofs, or color proofs are available. We can accept most major brand software files. From business cards to posters or annual reports to newsletters, Downeast Graphics can handle any printing project.
We also have one of the few Indigo digital presses in Maine. This high-tech offset press allows short run color work at an affordable price, with a very short turn around time, and the quality you have come to expect from full-color offset printing.
